The Rackhouse Pub is a Denver restaurant situated “in the bosom of Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey Distillery.” A rackhouse is the location of a distillery where they age whiskey in charred White American Oak barrels. Fermentable Sugar developed retro branding that reflected the Rackhouse Pub’s unique location.
Fermentable Sugar is the Rackhouse Pub’s agency of record. We worked with the Rackhouse to develop consistent branding across both print and digital spaces. The Rackhouse Pub’s current website, revised in 2011, highlights the Rackhouse Pub’s niche – serving a wide variety of locally produced craft beers and craft-distilled spirits.
We incorporated elements from oak barrels used in distilling as part of the Rackhouse’s brand identity. The website is built in WordPress, making it easy to add & modify content. We feature everything related to the Rackhouse Pub, including all menus (beer, food, spirits), private parties (in the Rackhouse Pub’s Whiskey Lounge), catering, a news section, reservations, and more.
Fermentable Sugar developed all the point-of-purchase materials for the Rackhouse Pub. Of note:
The 2-sided 8.5″x11″ full-color drink menu features a large open space on the front, allowing the Rackhouse to easily update their beer menu. A Microsoft Word document specially formatted to fit the blank area can be updated in-house, so managers can print new beer menus on-demand.
The food menu is a large-format 11″ x 17″ one-sided menu printed on wood laminate. This is consistent with the Rackhouse Pub’s emphasis on wooden barrel elements of their visual brand identity.
Fermentable Sugar handles a majority of the marketing for the Rackhouse Pub, including daily content updates on:
