Pro­fes­sor Peter McGraw does a lot of things. He’s a tenured pro­fes­sor of Mar­ket­ing & Psy­chol­o­gy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Col­orado. His TEDxBoul­der talk has near­ly a mil­lion views (we did all the slide design for him, too). He’s a behav­ioral sci­en­tist who found­ed the Humor Research Lab (aka HuRL). He’s trav­eled the world search­ing for what makes things fun­ny and writes books about his expe­ri­ences. Has hosts a few dif­fer­ent pod­casts. Pete is also a snap­py dress­er and all around fun guy.

He also hosts a live game show called Fun­ny or True? The game show pits 2 come­di­ans and 2 sci­en­tists togeth­er to deter­mine who is “fun­ni­est” and who is most “truthi­est”. The host asks a num­ber of ques­tions that the con­tes­tants answered ahead of time, and stu­dio audi­ence votes with their phones in real-time to see who gets the points. But real­ly it’s just an oppor­tu­ni­ty to screw around on your phone for a few hours while peo­ple on stage make fun of each oth­er.

We devel­oped this brand­ing on a low bud­get and were going for some­thing that would look good on a 100 foot screen behind the stage.
